"Stay Connected" a Remote Smart Audit Solution

Created to leverage a new technology medium using smart glasses to improve the quality and efficiency of remote audits and inspections.

Missed Opportunities: Approx 75% of audits delayed due to demand outpacing internal capacity. Objectives: 24/7 remote audits via secure platform and devices. Increase audit capacity and revenue opportunities while reducing T&E costs.

Course of Action - April 2020

COVID-19 Increase in Scope: Highlights need to collaborate with strategic customers working on vaccines / therapies. Stay Connected recieves exceptional approval from Procurement to expand Remote Assist Study.

Outcome of Solution - November 2020

Successful POC / MSA Executed: Stay Connected procured 190 devices with 300 licenses. SSO enablement for Merck-wide browser access.

Responsible for accelerating the global growth of digital products by leveraging corporate IS platforms and locally optimizing the online product offering. Additionally, articulating global digital priorities and product requirements to the Sigma-Aldrich eBusiness and eMarketing groups to ensure that localization efforts are met.

  • Managed system for Digital Marketing team in order to quickly identify web issues, align multiple sources and provide a matrix to determine severity and impact to gauge action. This matrix included: search engine optimization additions, defects & enhancements, social communications issues, satisfaction and analytics surveys.

  • Successfully managed and launched a localized website designed to meet the unique needs of users in China; differentiating Sigma-Aldrich from our competitors by providing more relevant content, a high touch customer experience and a completely translated homepage.

  • Provide business governance for the development and execution of our 42 existing international websites as well as additional localization projects.

  • Work with distributors and international contacts on the translations from development to execution

Responsible for key improvement projects that support the overall Sigma-Aldrich web strategy by leading cross-functional, regional and global project teams and external vendor personnel to deliver solutions within time and budget. Collaborative management of global website by using project management techniques and agile application development methodologies.

  • Management of strategic localization projects that include the development of functional requirements, technical design, user interface and system and performance testing, user training and system documentation.

  • Key business resource responsible for Internationalization efforts including business processes, governance, change management and communication for Sigma-Aldrich’s eBusiness and eMarketing teams.

  • Oversaw the implementation of a global "content delivery network"; Akamai, which had a signification impact on increasing visitors and website performance. In this role, my responsibilities included managing the project's resources, scope, risks, schedule and budget.

Led the shift from traditional training materials to computer-based training for Flight Operations staff including all TWA flight attendants and pilots. This was accomplished by transferring thousands of printed materials and 35mm slides into digital assets used by trainers.

  • Hand selected by VP for position within a four-member team when Trans World Airlines decided to move website design and maintenance in-house

  • Increased the effectiveness of training while reducing overhead print costs by shifting business processes in the area of training documents and manuals creation
