Marion Borlin, 75 Dies At His Home; Services Today

Marion W. Borlin, 75, a retired carpenter, mechanic, and machinist, passed away at his home in Carrollton at 4 p.m. Monday, July 17.

A son of the late Henry and Mary Walters Borlin, he was born in Carrollton on July 22, 1891.

He was a veteran of World War I.

Surviving are his wife, Martha Pegram Borlin; one daughter, Mrs. Lloyd (Mary Martha) Stephenson of Joliet; one son, David Dee Borlin of St. Louis; and two grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, three brothers and two sisters: Henry, Jacob and John, Mrs. Charles (Lucy) Angle, and Mrs. Harry (Rose) Little.

Funeral rites are being held this afternoon, Thursday, at 2 p.m. at the Mehl Funeral Home with Dr. Frank Marston of Jacksonville officiating. Interment will be in the Carrollton City Cemetery.

Serving as casket bearers are Sam Little of Alton, George Cummings of White Hall, David Tucker of Greenfield, Henry Little, Ernest Wade, and Paul Geers of Carrollton.
